Three goals were not enough for Dock to proceed to round two of the Sunday National Cup after an eight goal thriller against top Liverpool side Lobster at Gayton Park. Dock took a two goal lead through Chris Ballard and Mike McGraa, but Lobster then turned on the style and went 3-2 up. Dock did equalise through Colin O’Hanlon only to find the visitors up the gears scoring a further two goals putting the tie beyond Dock.
