The game was a non-event until Woodchurch controversially took the lead after 65 minutes when the ball was hammered into the back of the net by a player on the goal line and clearly in an offside position. The goal was the kick up the backside Dock needed and they suddenly started to play the football we know they can. Mike Saunders levelled the score on 70 minutes with a well-taken goal, which also had suspicions of offside. Gary Reay scored his 26th goal of the season to give Dock the 3 points needed to consolidate their position at the top of the table.
