A superb win for Dock against Home & Bargain who are currently sitting high in the Liverpool Business Houses League. Gary Reay got the first on seven minutes from the penalty spot after Paul McDonnell was brought down. Gary also had a goal disallowed and hit the post before the visitors levelled on 37 minutes.

Home & Bargain started well in the second half and it looked like it was going to be only a matter of time before they took the lead. With H&B in the driving seat and pushing for the winner the referee pulled his hamstring and the game was held up for 15 minutes while a substitute linesman was found (Shaun Byrne). The break in play seemed to affect the visitors more than Dock who now started to play the way we know they can. With 6 minutes remaining and extra time looking likely, Paul McDonnell beat his marker and placed a superb cross towards Gary Reay, who caught it beautifully and headed past H&B’s keeper.

The visitors lost their heads in the final 5 minutes and had 2 players sent off, one for a second booking and the other for foul and abusive language towards the substitute linesman.
Final Score: Dock 2-1 Home & Bargain.
