Goals from Darren McGuinness and Kieran Fleetwood gave Dock a well-deserved 2-0 half time lead. Woodchurch pulled a goal back on the hour mark and threatened to bring the game level before Gary Reay scored Docks third and secured all three points for the visitors. Final Score: Woodchurch 1-3 Dock.

VERONICA CONWAY PREMIER CUP SEMI FINAL
FC Prenton 2-2 Dock (Dock win 6-3 after penalties)

Dock took the lead after 17 minutes through a Darren McGuinness goal, but things went downhill from then on. FC Prenton scored just before the halftime whistle and then again after 85 minutes with what looked like the winning goal. However, on the 89th minute Dock’s Mike McGraa had other ideas when he hit a free kick which sailed through the keepers hands and forced extra time. Dock had a hand full of chances in extra time, but they were unable to convert any of them. The game went to penalties and Dock’s keeper Paul Roberts was the hero saving three out of four spot kicks, Dock scored four out of four to book their place in the final.

WIRRAL PREMIER CUP FINAL – Bidston 2-1 Dock

Dock’s Gary Reay scored after 5 minutes only to see the referee’s assistant flag because Darren Blythe was standing in an offside position, even though he was not interfering with play (top picture). Bidston took the lead on 17 minutes with a well taken goal, Dock could have levelled straight from the re-start but Mike McGraa’s shot went high and wide. Dock were trying hard to equalise but Bidston were up for the match more as they seem to win every second ball.

With 10 minutes to go Bidston doubled the score when a perfect cross was headed unchallenged giving Docks keeper Paul Roberts no chance. Dock’s Kieran Fleetwood pulled a goal back after good work from Darren McGiunness, but with only 2 minutes remaining, it was too little too late. Final Score: Bidston 2-1 Dock.
