Dock were unlucky not to pick up at least a point against Queens Park at a miserable Levers Sports Ground today. Queens Park took the lead on the 12th minute when Kevin Oates was the quickest to get to the ball after a shot which rebounded off Dock’s upright. Dock had a chance to bring the game level midway through the second half when Darren McGuinness was through on goal only to be harshly pulled up for being offside, which all could see was a outrageous decision by the referee.

Queens doubled their advantage minutes later when Dock gave away a silly penalty which Lee Gibson converted. Gareth McEvoy pulled a goal back for Dock after good work from Mike McGraa, which then set up a frantic last ten minutes. Dock tried in vain to equalise but found Queen Park’s keeper in excellent form saving from Gareth McEvoy and Darren McGuiness, and, when the keeper was beaten in the last minute by Chris Crawford he found the bar came to his rescue.
