Queens Park took a 2-0 lead but Dock fought back to bring the tie level with goals from Paul Wood and Matty Carlin. Queens Park regained the lead on 80 minutes leaving Dock with very little time to equalise. Final score Dock 2-3 Queens Park.

Apologies for the brief report and no photos, I was at Anfield and not at the Dock v Queens Park game.

Dock 3-1 Woodchurch – Houlihan’s BSFL Premier Division

Paul Roberts, Shaun Holmes, Colin O’Hanlon, Bernie Holmes, Ian Brunt, Jimmy Cross, Mike Saunders, Ian McGraa, Matty Singleton, Timmy Bigland & Darren McGuinness. Not a bad team, but unfortunately because of injury, work commitments, etc, none of them were available for tonight’s league fixture against Woodchurch CC. However, the 11 men that turned out for Dock did the club proud by taking all three points off the Premier Division high flyers.

Paul Wood opened the scoring on the 55th minute only to see the visitors equalise 10 minutes later. Paul “The Rash” McGregor put Dock 2-1 up with a 40 yard screamer on the 80th minute (sorry that should be 40 inch screamer, not yards). Mike McGraa made sure of all three points just before the final whistle by converting a penalty after Gareth McAvoy was brought down in the area. Final score Dock 3-1 Woodchurch CC

Brow 1-0 Dock – Veronica Conway Cup Semi Final Sunday 6th April 2008

It was a bitterly cold morning at Birkenhead Park for this Veronica Conway Cup semi final between Houlihan’s Premier Division Teams, FC Brow and Dock FC. Brow took the lead with their one and only on target effort on 13 minutes, then somehow managed to keep Dock at bay for the remainder of the game. Dock produced many chances but either bad finishing or superb goalkeeping denied them the goal that they deserved. Dock were also unlucky not to be awarded at least one penalty when Mike McGraa was hacked down as he released a shot from 6 yards out (bottom picture). Final Score Brow 1-0 Dock.Dock FC V Beehive
