It was a stroll in the park today for Dock as they cruised to a 5-1 win against Wallasey Premier Division side, Big House, at Lingham Park. Sam Herbert opened the scoring after just 5 minutes (pictured left), Darren McGuinness then made it 2-0 on 13 minutes (pictured below) before Gary Reay scored a brace to make the half time score 4-0 to Dock.
The second half saw Big House take the game to Dock, and they got their just rewards when they pulled a goal back 5 minutes into the half. Big House continued to put pressure Dock’s defence for the next 15 minutes, but Dock stood firm. Gary Reay completed his hatrick on the 87th minute mark to make the final score Big House 1-5 Dock.
Dock will now meet Rock Ferry Social in the 3rd round; the game will be played next week at Levers Sports Ground.
