The Birkenhead Sunday Tony Houlihan Memorial Challenge Cup Semi-Finals took place on Sunday, with two close games the result. It took extra-time to separate Stirrup Sports & Social and Dock FC; goals from Stirrup’s Carl Maughan, Billy Devey, Paul Devey and Dock’s Colin O’Hanlon, Gary Reay and Jamie Kenyon, had the game level at 90 minutes. However, a goal from Danny McGill and an overhead effort from Paul Devey in the extra period, put Stirrup through to the Final.
