IMG_7047Dock continued their ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ start to the season with a 4-0 drubbing by classy Runcorn opponents Halton Quayside in the Cheshire Cup. The visitors controlled the game from the first minute to the last, always looking the fitter, stronger and hungrier of the two teams. Dock did have a number of key players missing through work and other commitments, but the team who played should have at least been able to compete, which they never did. The only time the visitors goalkeeper looked troubled was when he attempted to catch a corner only to see it slip through his hands, but even then nobody from the Dock was alert enough to tap the ball home.
