Dock got back to winning ways against Brow at Levers Sports Ground tonight, but only just. It all started well for Dock when they got their first goal after 7th minutes when Darren Blyth put Gareth McEvoy in to get his first of four with a delightful lob over the keeper. The second goal on 17 minutes was a carbon copy of the first, only this time Chris Hannon was the supplier to Gareth, who again superbly lobbed the Keeper. Mike Saunders then made it 3 on the half hour mark, before Gareth got his 3rd and Dock’s 4th from the penalty spot, after Ross Carragher was brought down in the box.
The second half started with Brow taking the game by the scruff of the neck, and, they deservedly brought the scores level during a mad 13 minutes with goals on the 41st, 48th, 56th (pen) and 64th minutes. Gareth McEvoy put Dock back in front when he scored the goal of the night on 71 minutes, running from his own half along the left wing before unleashing a lethal shot from an acute angle which beat the keeper on his near post (or was it a cross?). Second half sub, Gary Reay made sure dock got all three points when he netted 5 minutes from time. Final Score: Dock 6-4 Brow.
FA Sunday Cup
Dock have been drawn at home to Crossflatts FC for the 1st round of the FA Sunday Cup. Crossflatts play in the Wharfedale Triangle Premier Division, and are from Keighley, West Yorkshire. The game will be played on Sunday 19th October 2008, at Ashville FC with a 2pm kick off (to be confirmed).
Neston Nomads 3-2 Dock

Dock only had themselves to blame after schoolboy defending and lack of service to the forwards resulted in them going 3-2 down to a plucky Neston Nomads team. Neston took the lead after 7 minutes before Mike Saunders pulled it back on 38 minutes. Neston regained the lead just before the break, and then went 3-1 up after 52 minutes. Dock’s Darren McGuiness made it 3-2 on the hour mark, but Dock were unable to find an equaliser. Final Score Neston Nomads 3-2 Dock
