Dock comfortably negotiated their first outing in the competion, albeit after conceding an early goal against the run of play.

Dock enjoyed the vast majority of the early possession, but fell behind to a twenty five yard snapshot that flew into the top corner of Martyn Stevenson’s goal.

Dock continued to create chances and eventually equalised when Mike McGraa glance in a near post header from one of the numerous corners Ashville conceded.

HT Ashville OB 1-1 Dock

The second half was mostly one way traffic, as Dock’s possession and retention of the ball told on the home team’s fitness and Ashville only managed sporadic counters.

Further goals came from Ian Irving (although Paul Ryan claimed the slightest of touches), Mark Head, which was the pick of the five and two more for Mike McGraa from close range to complete his hat-trick.
