Dock AFC Current Squad
Goal Keepers

Paul Roberts
Joined Dock FC in 1999 after a spell playing in the Wallasey Sunday League. Has only missed a handful of games since establishing himself as first-choice goalkeeper and has shown remarkable consistency throughout his time at the club.
Defenders

Shaun Holmes
Another fierce competitor who does not accept second best. A great reader of the game and probably the most naturally two-footed player in the Club which enables him to look comfortable in various positions. Plays Saturday football with Cammell Lairds FC.

Paul Wood
Character of the team who has recently taken on the role of Player's Representative on the Club Committee. Fierce competitor who has previously enjoyed success at county level with Brow FC. Another Heswall player.

Colin O'Hanlon
Joined Dock FC in 1996 from youth football and has continued to impress with his determination and consistency. A resolute defender renowned for his uncompromising style. Currently playing Saturday football with Heswall.

Jason Williams
Stalwart of the club who has enjoyed considerable success since joining as a youngster in 1990. Took over as player-manager in 1998 and has led the club to unprecedented heights since. A born competitor who will not accept second best.

Mike Stevens
A former Pilot player with vast experience who is equally capable of slotting into any position, including goalkeeper on occasions when required. In the twilight of his career and currently doubling up in the role of Assistant Manager.

Matty Carlin
A new recruit who joined the Club during last season after impressing in youth football. Has quickly established himself as a calm and stylish defender with an eye for a goal. Currently playing Saturday football with West Kirby FC.

Paul McGregor
In the veteran stages of his career having enjoyed considerable success at league, district and county level. Joined Dock FC in 2000 where he has gained the nickname of 'The Rash' for his relentless man-marking abilities. Currently playing Saturday football for Heswall FC

Darren Blythe
Commanding centre-back who is another character within the team and has weighed in with some important goals in big games. Another Heswall FC player.
Midfielders

Danny Mcllroy
Joined the Club last season from Hoylake Athletic. Has struggled to hold down a regular starting place since joining but has displayed sound reliability and flexibility performing various roles when called upon.

Chris Crawford
Another new recruit who joined the Club this season. Has quickly settled in and has demonstrated a great attitude both on and off the pitch. A hard working midfield player who likes to get the ball down and pass.

Peter McNullty
A tremendous athlete who gets up and down the left hand side to great effect and weighs in with an important share of goals. Currently playing on Saturdays with Heswall FC.

Mike McGraa - Club Captain
Playmaker who continues to astound with his eye for a pass and also weighs in with a goal return that most strikers would be proud of. Currently playing his Saturday football at Cammell Lairds FC.

Ian Brunt
Joined the Club in 2000 after a short spell with Pacific FC. A competitive, combative midfield player who can also perform as an accomplished central defender when required. Another Poulton Vics player.

Jason Packenham
Dock's second longest serving player (or so he told me?). Currently working overseas building big aeroplanes, but when he's home he's always happy to help out in his role as Assistant Manager / or even player (that must make him the second oldest player – behind Alan Currie).

Bernie Holmes
Rejoined the Club this season after a couple of seasons with Houlihans FC. A skilful midfield player who has also previously suffered from injury setbacks but is now playing probably some of the best football of his career. Another West Kirby FC player on a Saturday.

Mike Saunders
A winger from the old school with pace and ability in abundance who loves to commit defenders and then leaves them in his wake. Now regarded as one of the older generation but still more than capable of giving some of the youngsters a run for their money.

Ian McGraa
Another young player who has recently joined the Club. Was unfortunate to suffer an injury in his first game but has come back in recent weeks and is beginning to look like the player who terrorised many defences for FC Prenton last season.

Jimmy Cross
Energetic midfielder who seems to cover every blade of grass whenever he plays. Has a goal return to match Gary Birtles and is known to his team-mates as ‘jigsaw’ (goes to pieces in the box).

Tim Bigland
Another new recruit to the Club this season and the son of a former Dock FC stalwart, Jimmy Bigland. Has quickly demonstrated an exciting turn of pace and a great left foot. Another Cammell Lairds FC player of whom there are great expectations if he can fulfil his potential.

Matty Singleton
Recently joined the Club and quickly demonstrated his athleticism and tenacity. Has been a regular Heswall FC player over the last few seasons where he has displayed remarkable consistency.
Centre Forwards

Gary Reay
Prolific marksman who would knock his granny over in the six yard box if he felt there was a goal in it for him. Leads the line with spirit and enthusiasm. Another great servant of the Club who also plays for Poulton Vics FC.

Kieran Fleetwood
Hard working front man with a remarkable coolness in front of goal. Recently suffered a horrific injury whilst playing for West Kirby FC and whilst he is sadly missed on the pitch everyone at the Club sends their best wishes to Kieron and we all hope that he makes a full recovery.

Richie White
Another who since he joined the Club has suffered terrible luck with injuries. Demonstrated his power and strength in the short period that he has been involved. Currently making tentative steps at resuming his playing career for Manor Athletic on a Saturday.

Darren McGuiness
Joined the Club in 2005 and quickly announced himself as a goalscorer of some repute from both inside and outside of the penalty area. Lightning quick and constantly looking to pressurise defenders with his pace and tenacity. Another Heswall FC player.
