Dock sneaked through to their fourth consecutive final of the Wirral Premier Cup after beating a gutsy Shaftesbury Youth side on a penalty shoot-out. Dock took the lead after 15 minutes with a well-taken header by Jonpaul Stanhope, only for Shaftesbury to equalise 5 minutes later. Jonpaul scored the second just before the half time break, but Shaftesbury again equalised within 10 minuets of the re-start.

With the scores level at 2-2 after extra time, Dock went on to score their first three penalties (Richie White / Mike McGraa / Ian Brunt) without reply from Shaftesbury. Dock will now meet The Plough in the final (date and venue will be advised).
