A goal a piece from Kieran Fleetwood and Jonpaul Stanhope gave Dock a 2-0 lead but it was not enough to take them through to the final of the Memorial Challenge Cup. Queens Park pulled one back with a well taken Terry Cottgrave free kick then Michael Skillen equalised with only a few minutes remaining to take the tie to extra time. Skillen was dismissed after receiving his second yellow card for removing his shirt during his goal celebrations, leaving Queens Park having to play extra time with only 10 men. With the score still level after extra time Queens Park went through by converting 4 penalty kicks to Docks 2.
