The Cheshire Cup saw another fine win for Dock as they brushed away fellow Birkenhead Premier Division side Warwick 4-1 at Plymyard Avenue. Dock could easily have found themselves 2-0 down after 15 minutes, but had goalkeeper Paul Roberts to thank for pulling off two tremendous saves. On target for Dock were Mike Saunders (25 & 44) Ian Brunt (80) and Gary Reay (86), Warwick’s goal came from the penalty spot after Shaun Holmes was penalised for a foul in the box.
