Dock-v-Rock-ferry2Dock AFC continued their impressive league form with a superb 2-1 win away at second placed Rock Ferry FC. Dock started the better of the two teams, and maybe should have been a couple of goals up before they did actually take the lead through a Craig Johnson toe poke after a goalmouth scramble in which Bernie Holmes initially thought he has scored. Prolific hot shot Gary Reay made no mistakes in chipping the ball over Rock Ferry’s keeper to net his 20th league goal of the season to make the half time score 2-0 to Dock. Rock Ferry had a number of chances in the early stages of the second half but were frustrated by in-form Dock keeper Paul Davies (pictured above) who showed his bravery and agility on more than one occasion. Rock Ferry did manage to beat the Dock’s keeper on the 85th minute mark, but the goal was only a consolation effort as Dock were able to work hard and keep all three points, which sees them take a 7 point lead at the top of the table.Dock-v-Rock-ferry
