As we know, ex Dock player Paul Lacy’s Son, Adam, was diagnosed in May 2015 with Leukaemia. Young Adam has undergone intense treatment over the last couple of years and is now in the Maintenance Stage of his treatment, which he will continue until November 2018.

Most of us can only imagine what Paul, Lynne and the family have been through over the last couple of years, starting with the initial diagnosis and followed by worrying times with frequent visits to Hospital.

Paul, being the top bloke he is, now wants to give something back and do his bit to help find a cure for this horrendous disease. He will be cycling in the Wirral bikeathon in May to raise much-needed funds for the charity, Bloodwise (formerly Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research), who fund research and provide support to improve blood cancer patients’ lives.

Please click on the below picture of Adam leading Liverpool FC out at last year’s Capital One Cup Final at Wembley, and you will be taken to Paul’s just giving page. Any donation you can make will be greatly appreciated by Paul and the family.

We at Dock AFC would like to take this opportunity offer our best wishes for the future to both the Lacy and Owen / Skillen families, Adam and Nancy are both incredibly brave individuals.
